VanGenes® Blood RNA Preservation Tube
Overview
VanGenes blood RNA preservation tube is a direct draw whole blood collection tube intended for collection, stabilization and transportation of intracellular RNA. The RNA is fixed and precipitated at the time of blood collection. The relative levels and integrity of the RNA are stabilized.
Advantage
- High Tolerance: Preserves intracellular RNA for 3 days at 10~25℃, 5 days at 2~8℃, long term under -20℃.
- More Accuracy: Extract high-yield cellular RNA and improve the accuracy of RNA analysis.
- High Stability: Comparing to EDTA tube, greatly reduces the effect of in vitro storage on the composition of blood RNA.
- Convenient Extraction: Extraction of RNA can be accomplished using Trizol method or most commercially available purification kits. Adapts to different capacities and automation.
- Fits for many types of downstream, including RT-PCR, cDNA synthesis and real-time RT-PCR.
Evaluation Data
The part A of Figure 1 shows that storing blood samples at ambient temperature (10~25℃), after storage for 0 days and 3 days, RNA was extracted by phenol-chloroform method and quantified by Qubit, there was no significant difference in RNA yield between samples stored for 3 days versus 0 days.
The part B of Figure 1 shows that storing blood samples at low temperature (4~8℃), after storage for 0 days and 7 days, RNA was extracted by phenol-chloroform method and quantified by Qubit, there was no significant difference in RNA yield between samples stored for 7 days versus 0 days.
The part C of Figure 1 shows that after process 16 samples and extract RNA and quantify with Qubit, yield between 5ug and 15ug.
In the Figure 2, blood samples were stored in VanGenes blood RNA tubes and conventional EDTA tubes at ambient temperatures (10~25℃) and low temperatures (4~8℃), respectively. After storage for a certain period of time, RNA was extracted and quantified by RT-qPCR.
The part A of Figure 2 shows that the relative levels of FOS gene transcripts and GADPH transcripts in the samples fluctuated after 1 day, 2 days and 3 days of storage at ambient temperatures(10~25℃) compared with the level of 0 days.
The part B of Figure 2 shows that the relative levels of FOS gene transcripts and GADPH transcripts in the samples fluctuated after 3 day, 5 days and 7 days of storage at low temperatures(4~8℃) compared with the level of 0 days.
The part C of Figure 2 shows that the relative levels of FOS gene transcripts and GADPH transcripts in the samples fluctuated after 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks of storage at -20℃ compared with the level of 0 days.
